Pukehou Husband's and Brothers' Evening
The Pukehou Women's Institute's monthly meeting tqok the form of a: "husbands' and brothers' evening." Mrs Shultze, president, extended a very hearty welcome to all the visitors and Mrs Campbell led the community singing The drama circle staged a play entitled "An unexpected rehearsal." those taking part being Mesdames Donald, Baldwin, Olsen, gingleton and. Miss Sinclair. The competitions resulted: Fishing, Miss D. Blyth. Finding your partner, Miss Paki and Mr Graham. Maoxi members gave a ' number of songs. . The committee were hostesses . foi the evening, and after a sumptuous supper, the singing of the National Anthem brought a happy and enjoyable evening to a close.
