TARADALE BALL

The annual ball orannised by the Taradale Catholic Social Club and held in the Taradale Town Hall', proved a great suceess. The attendance was large, visitors comiug from many parts of the district. The ballroom was very tastefully decorated, and details were ably handled by the'seeretary, Mr M. Johnson, and his committee, Messrs R. Colello, G. Colello, E. and J. O'Reilly. The, ladies' committee carried out *the supper arrangements in their uEjiial excellent manner. Those responsible were: Miss Kilkenny (in oharge), Mesdames Gleeson, lialley, Manmng, Brown, Dorrington, Downey, Walsh, •Robinson, Jeft'ares, M. Johnson, Misses Timlin, Gleeson, Jones, Hird, McCartney and McClellan. A • fine modern . and old-time aance programme was played by the New Majestic Orcbestra and the duties of H. Dawe. Extras were played by MissM.C. - were in the capable hands of Mr Tronson, O'Reilly, and F. Beale. . ; A* Monte Carlo waltzingj competition was won by Mr and Mrs Guetin. During an interval the Rev. Father Riordon took the opportunity to express thanks and appreciation te the large mimber of guests for their presence, an'd also' conveyed similar sentiments to the ladies' -aird men's coramittees whose zealous efforts liad been crowned by sucb splendid success.
