DOUBLE WEDDDING CELEBRATED AT DANNEVIRKE
BERKAHN — SMITH SMITH^SMITH A double weddiug in which tlie two brides were sisters and one oi the bridegrooms was of the same surnaine as liis bride, took plaee recently at St. John's Anglican Lhurch, Dannevirke, and was of inuch interest to the residents of Dannevirke and Southern and Central Hawke's Bay — wliere the brides and 'grooms have lived all tlieir lives — was celebrated by the Itev. G. B. Stephenson. Tlie church was packe,d to its utmost, tnany being unable to gain admittance. The cont:0:ting parties were Eileen Sylvia, eldest daugliter of Mrs J. Smitli, Te Rehunga, and Percy Wilfred, fiitli son of Mr and Mrs 0. A. Berkahn, of llokotuku ; and Myrtle, youngest daughter of Mrs J. Srnitb, Te Rehunga, and Clarence Patrick, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Charles Smith, Takapau. The two brides made a striking picture as they walked slowly up the aisle eacorted by ther step-father, Mr James Smith, being followed by their attendants.
