FEILDING STOCK SALE
Market Very Firm for AII Classes The live-stock market at Feilding yesterday xeflected a very firm eondition in ovcry section. Fat sheep were in short supply and the values were fully up to late rates with export operators competing for the hoggets. Store sheep came forward in excess of advertiscd numbers and met with an activc demand. In the fat cattle section prices advance d nnder rather spirited competition, ex-daiTy sorts sharing in the improvemont. The inquiry for good daiiy cattle was strong and values marked an increase on late yard saies but were ^ in keeping with realisations at clcaring saies. Fat sheep were yarded in smaller numbers and as a result of the rather heavy rain over-night were not looking at their best. The entry totallcd approximately 700, thero being 280 hoggets, 250 wetkers and tho baiance ewes. Hoggets were very mixed in quality whfle in the maia they carried good skins xnany of the pons were plain and unfinished, Export buyers returned to operate freely, producing a competition which resulted in values kardouiug somewhat. Light, unfiuished sorts sold from 18s to 21s lOd, medium from 22s Id to 23s 6d, good 23s 9d to 27s 5d, while heavy prime lots made up to 34s.
