As chairman of the Imperial Relations Trust, Earl Jti&ldwiii has xiominated as trustees the Earl of Clarendon, who will be vice-chairmah, fc>ir WaRer Citrine, general secretary of the Traces Union Congress, Mr. Montagu Norman, Governor of the Bank of England, the Dowager Marchioness of lieading, the Hon. Arthur , Howard (Earl Baldwin's tion-iix-law), and Mr. Will Bpens, of Cambridge University staft'. "As a thanks .offering for Mr. Stanley Baldwin's eourageous, far-seeing, and sympathetic handling of a supremely difficult situation, ' ' an anony"mous British donor has placed £250,000 at the disposal of Earl Baldwin to endow * ' any object best calculat'ed to strengthen " still further the ties between the Dominions and the United Kingdom, who once more have demonstrated their solidarity in time of emergency." In announeing his acceptance of the gift, Earl Baldwin stated that 6teps were to be taken for the creation of an independent trust which would • be cmpowered to allocate the money to the interests of inter-Imperial relations.
