AVELLINGTON, Last Night. Part of the site on which the Wellington Anglican Diocesan Synod has selected as the most suitable for the proposed cathedral is Crown property, and the Synod, though options have been obtained over other properties, is not in the position qf knowing whether this will he available. The Government has been approached and the actingPrime Minister, the Hon, P. Fraser, has agreed to place the matter hefore Cabinet! * The Government, s.aid Mr Fraser in an interview, can be depended upon to take a fair view of the matter with the interest^ of all concerned in mind.
