Mr. J. G. Wilson's Home Burnt to the Ground valuable ubrary lost

WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Fire which started in ihe kitchen oi Mr J. G. Wilson's residence, about a mile from (ihe store at Hatuma, at 2 o'clock this morning, deprived the ocoupants of almost everything they possessed. The house was burned to the ground, and Mr and Mrs Wilson had just sufficient timo to gfet the children (o safety before the wind had driven the fire right throug^h the buildigg. ' Nothing in the way of furniture or household eft'ects were saVed, Although some insurance was carried, it is understood the family will be heavy losers. Even their clothing wqs butnt, and they had to come to "Waipukurau clad in what scanty garments they were able to snatch in their hurried; exitThe most serious loss from the Wilsons' point of view will be his valuable library of hooks and a collection of curios and old Englislr furniture.
