WRESTLING
Two Topliners for Hastings The Hawke 's Bay public is bouncl to display considerable interest in the professional wrestling match which is to take place in Hastings next Friday rnght between Chief Little Wolf, a Navajoh Indian brave, and. Matros Kirilenko, the unorthodox Eussian wrestler, who has many followers in this distriet. Kirilenko's feat in drawing with MeCready in the local ring was emulated shortly afterwards ,by Little Wolf at Wellington, the latter making the distinction the more noteworthy by being the first man to take a fall off the Canadian in the Dominion this year. These achievements cause Wolf and Kirilenka to rank with the best wrestlers evef seen in this country and prove that the reputation with whieh Little Wolf came to N6w Zealand is ,well founded. The Chief, ig faet, has been recognised as a leading contender for the world title for some years and the fact that he has not yet realised his ambition by seeuring the title has been mamly due to the lact that he has been refused his chance. Compactly built (he is about 5ft. 8in. in height and weighs 16 stone), he is a bundle of energy and his speed is nothing short of amazing. Iieeping on the move the whole time, and possessing the stamina necessary to see out the most gruellmg of contests, he introduees a wide range cf highly-spectacular manoeuvres, and neither his opponent nor the audience i« able to forecast what he is going to do next. He claims to have introduced the Indian deathlock to wrestling, and he can certainly use it iike a master, as y?as. Shpwn in his bgut witfi McCxeady.i
