Fat-Sheep Market At Stortford No change in values took place in to-day' s market for fat sheep at Stortford Lodge. There was a moderate entry of quality sorts whieh attracted the attention of butehers. The outstanding entry was a fine draft oi prime wethers offered on account oi Morrison Bros.5 Waipukurau, and which sold to 38/10. A line in medium order made better buying than ewes at 30/-. Prime heavy ewes brought to 34/-. Medium-quality sorts made to 29/-, and light sorts made from 20/6 to 23/-. „ Prices were secured as follow for selected entries Off the Hastings flats, an attractive draft of heavy prkne-quality ewes, in splendid condition and carrying, a good slipe,. sold in two lots at 34/8 and 33/8. From the same course, 45 prime ewes, slightly lighter but of siinilar quality, realised 31/6. Four. pens of medium-framed wethers, very fine in the wool and medium in finish, only some being on the light side, were sold at 30/-. On account of Messrs. Morrison Bros., Fairfield, a draft of 62 wellframed heavy prime-quality wethers, in , splendid condition, an attractive entry of choice nautton and carrying a good slipe, sold at 38/10.
