KITCHEN EVENING FOR POPULAR BRIDE-TO-BE

On Thursday evening Miss^ Thelma Gibbs was hostess at a very bright little party held in the Methodist ^all,.when Miss Mae Cunnold, whose mirriage to Mr. C. Bartle talces place during the eoming weelc, was tho guest of honouT. The hall was -ery festive looking, with its streamers . of yellow and gold ^ and vases of iceland poppies and maidenhair fern. The ' programme was " a vanea _one, eonsisting of g«.mes and . Competitions, some causing much amusement. During the evening a bouquet composed of soap, pegs, blue,-etc., was presented to the guest of honour, also 0 'iOvely posy of real flowers. After a most delicious. supper the many pafcels were .opened, after which Miss Cunnold expressed her appreciation to Miss Gibbs and everyone pre.sent for the happy evening and many useful gifts. f The singing of "Auld.Lang Syne" ' brought a most enjoyable evening to close. Miss T. Gibbs wore a dainty froek of patterned georgette in -shades of blue and pink; Miss Mae Cunnold chose a picture frock of blue floral organdie. Others present were: — Mesdames F. Gibbs, C. G.
