Death at Dentist's A young man named Leslie Barrett, ,residing at 24 Grosvenor street, collapsed and died in a dentist's chair while under an anaesthetic thia afternoon. He was having his teeth extracted. Deceased. was a married man 27 years of age. — Dunedin. Power Addressograph The purchase at a cost of £399 of an electrically' driven machine for addressing envelopes, was decided upon by the City Council. The machine is to be used in the City Treasurer's department for the issue of rate demands and similar work. — Auckland. Survey Ship's Work After 11 days in the Hauraki Gull carrying out surveying and charting work in Tamaki Strait, as far as Ponui Island, the Admiralty survey ship Endeavour will return to Calliope Wharf to-morrow. This will complete her~first period at sea since she has been based at Auckland. The Endeavour will return to Hauraki Gulf after coaling and provisioning. — Auckland.
