Lively and amusing competitions and vo.cal items passed the time swiftly, and a large attendance of mothers and friends spent a most enjoyable afternoon. Mrs A. Priestley's brilliantly witty essay, "Hats," and songs by Mrs Bees Kemp were greatly appreciated. The excellent work done by Mrs Bauchop on behalf - of the Kindergarten was commented upon' by the secretary, Mrs Spooner, who presented her with a dainty and effective shoulder-spsny in appreciation of her untiring efforts.
