FAREWELL EVENING FOR MISS LOTTY MORONEY
Prior to her departure from Pakipaki, Miss Lotty Moroney was met by the residents of the district atid many friends from Hastings who were anxious to wish her much happiness in her new home. Mr Harry Anderson expressed the feeling of all present when he said^ hotv much Miss Moroney would be n.issed, and Mr Waimarama Puhara, on behalf of the Maoris present, endorsed his remarks. Mrs Harry Anderson then presented the guest of honour with a beautiful and valuable present, and on her behalf Mr P. J. O'Kane thanked everyone for their kind remarks and for the gift which Miss Moroney greatly appreciated. T»he evening ended with the singing of "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow ' and "Auld Lang Syne."
