Tender Too High. Only one tender was submitted to the Wairoa Harbour Board for certain painting at Waikokopu, and the same being considered too high, it was left to the chairman and Messrs. CorkilJ and Harker to deal with same. Bariy Lainb. Mr. M. G. M. Williami, of Mangatawhiti Station, Wairoa, had the honour of locating on his farm last week the first lamb of the season in the Waeroa district. It is, of COurse, an out--of -season youugster, ,but very hardy.
