A Pronounced Revival

WAIROA, Last Night. There was a good gathering of supporters of boxing at a meeting held at the Fire Brigade Station, Mr. D. Glengarry being in the chair. It was agreed to revive the old association and to stage a tournament in about a rnonth's time. Arrangements were made for the formation of a boxing sehool under capable inStrUctors, and there are many pupils already in sight. A strong working committee was set up to finalise everything. The committee is eomposed of Messrs. J. W. Knocks, W. Wallace, C. C. Puyzer, H. C. Bean, W. Peters, R. J. Lyilch, O. Hall, D. Byford, E. Gay, H. St&irmand, A. H. Deighton, D. Robinson, A C. Wilson, S. Lambert, P. Sullivan, j. Cooke, H. Murdoch, J. St. Clair, L» E. Galbraith, G. Groves, A. L. Davis and Major J. O. Scott. The election of officers for the year resulted :— Patron, Mr. A. G. Nolan; president, Mr. D. Glengarry; vicepresidents, Messrs. H. L. Harker, C. V. Chamberlain, G. Williaoison, J. E, Svensen, M. B, Svensen, A Law, and J. S. Wilson; hon. seeretary, Mr. J. C. GalIagher; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. W. BenSon; auditor, Mr. W. Crarer; honorary surgeons, Drs. M. G. W. Hallwright and E. B. Jardine; ring master, Mr. J. S'. Wilson. Korokoro Also Moving, On Wednesday last a meeting was held at the residence of Mr. G« Spooner, Korokoro, when a strong boxing club was formed, and training has already been started.
