NORSEWOOD, Last Night. Last Friday a very happy time was spent . at the residence of Mr and Mrs Eri'c (Harry) Frederickson' s, when the celebration of their golden wedding took place. About 30, including raembers of the family, grand-children, and great grand-children, sat down to a table beautifully prepared and ladeu with a big assortment of delicious catables. Two beautiful weddingi cakes adorned the table. One was presented by members of the family and the other by the grand-children and great grandchildren. Everybody was in happy mood and many hmnorous experiences uere related. The usual toasts were honoured, and before the happy gatheriug broke up, all sang to the guests oi: honour, "For They Are Jolly Oood Fellows." ,p Mr Frederickson was born in Norway and came to New Zealand in 1872 with his parents in the sailing sbip the first Hovding when only a boy >f nine years. Mrs Frederickson was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. H. Small. Later her parents moved to the North Island, and settled at Kopua, where they resided ior some time, where Mr Small took over a store at South Norsewood. He also owned the Town Hall and a number of town sections.. During that period Mr and Mrs Frederickson were married by the late Canon Webb, of Ormondville. In 1888, Mr and Mrs Small disposed of their properties and eailed for America, settling in California. Mr and Mrs Frederickson accompanied them, tui only remained for two years, and returned to New Zealand and eventuaily took up a farm at Ngamoko. Mr l' rcderickson sold out his property only a shprt time ago, and with his wife 'wcnt to North Norsewood to reside. 3Mr Thomas Small, a cousin, of Governor's Bay, attended the celebrations. and represented the South Island ltiatives who were unable to be present. Mr and Mrs Frederickson were the recipients of many beautiful and ustful presents, including four flowering shrubs, presented by various incmbers of the family. Mr and Mrs R. "W. Frederickson, of Wanganui, who were present at the celebrations, also stayed over the v cekend as the guests of the former's par- | ents.
