Following the unusual procedure of an Inquisition involving the closest cross-examination, Father Cordi di Bietro, parish priest of a village near Itome has been excommunicated and uufxocked. He deelared that during Commuuion he fouud drops of human blood iu the chalice and claimed it was a miracle, He ajjplied to the Vaticau for confinnatiou, resultiug in the Inquisition which douounced his declaratiou as "sacrilege and simulation."
