Saturday's Rugby Results

As a result of the continued wet weather, the hockey and basketball matches fixed for Saturday were abandoned and in the Rugby sub-union's district competition 'only the town matches wera played. • The senior and two junior matches, set down to be played at Nuhaka, were abandoned, owing to the ground being unfit to play on. Despite tlie fact that the conditions for play were worse than last Saturday, the games played on the Lambton sports ground were exceptionally good. Results : — Senior. — Nuhaka 11, Waipapa 3. Up to within 15»minutes points were eveu, being 3 all. Nuhaka then livened up and added 8 to their score. Mr. Ellis refereed. Old Boys.ll, Mahia nil. Referee, Mr. R. H. Vallance. Junior. — Old Boys 22, Waipapa nil. Referee, Mr. C. More. Takutimoana drew with Hikurangi, 3 all. Referee, Mr. B. Parkinson.
