MANAWATU MEETING

Good Racing Probable , The Manawatu Racing Club's winter meeting will be held at Awapuni on Saturday next, July 3. The meeting Will be a preliminary canter to other big meetings close at hand. The acceptances are very giood indeed, and the quality of those competiug will be better ttiaii for some years, and includes many of the best horses, iiat, hurdles and steepleehase, now in commission, and for a winter meetirig the club is likely to have a record fixture. Many' of the runners will be seen out next week at Wellington, and later at the Gi'and National meeting, so that' the various events may be looked upon in the nature of trials for events ahead. and this will attract many visitors anxious to get a line on the form of those engaged elsewhere. Hawke's Bav stables are well represented in the acceptance list, and visitors from this province should be numerons. Excursion fares are available on the railway.
