AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB DANCE AT HAVELOCK

The monthly dances arranged by the Havelock North Amateur Athletic Club have proved most successful, and this month's dance, held in the Town Board Hall last evening, was very bright and jolly, the hall being filled fco capacity with dancers from Hastings os well as Havelock North. Exceilent dance music was played by Les. Henry's orchestra, and various dances were inoluded on the programme. During the evenmg a very tempting supper was enjoyed by . the dancers. Among those present were: — Mrs J. Warrington, apricot taifeta with a diamante girdle. Mrs H. btokes, deep prune shaded satin with a clasp of briiiiants at the neck. Mrs L. Miller, horal silk gown in deep blue, red and white. JVlrs Engebretsen, gown of royai purple soupie satin. Mrs L. F. W;all, black gown with a liared frill of silver lame outlining the neck. Miss M. Burgess, black matelasse with coliar and oorsage bows of silver lanie. Miss Mona Burgess, blue water marked taifeta with collar and helt stitched with silver. Miss £. Saunders, lemon corded velvet with gold sash and girdle. Miss B. Ureening, white patternedsatin with hand-made silver lined llowers. Miss J. Burgess, deep sunset pink taifeta with silver flowers at the neck. Miss T. Luttrell, blue net mounted on a' mauve slip and trimmed with frills. JMiss G. Giles, black velvet with a clasp of briiiiants at the neck. Miss T. Morley, black katteta gown with a coatee of deep rose velvet. Miss E. Mprtou, white chiffon coinspotted with green. Miss E. Baker, petal pink matelasse with gold liowers at the neck. Miss G Baker, blue sou.ile satii with shirred shoulder epaulettes. Miss M. Edgecombe, midnight blue satin threaded with silver and silver corsage liowers. . Miss M. Tunniciilie, black panne velvet with red tiownrs at the neck. Miss K. Bennettf lioral taifeta in shades of silvery grey, pink and green. Miss P. Estaugh, tigured satin frock worn with a deep purple velvet coat. Miss V. Dew, burgundy watermarked taifeta with shoulder straps of silver sequins. Miss E. Crawford, blue ripple matelasse witb a cowled ueckliue of scarf draperies. t Miss N. Miss N. Horton, ivory soupie satin with red corsage flowers. Miss B. McUonagle, sky blue mariette with sunset liowers at the neck. Miss H. liennie, black Qioque worn with an evening coat of white caracul. Miss A. Sanson, deepest reseda green matelasse with' apricot shoulder spray. ' Miss B. Duncan, green mariette gown worn with a shirred cape of green sa.tm. Miss O. McDonald, palest blue satin with pink corsage howers. Miss D. Sutton, black satin sheen with red liowers at the- neck.
