QUIET WEDDING IN WAIPAWA RECENTLY

■ % THOMSON— B00TH At St. Peter 's Anglican Chureh, Waipawa, on Wednesday, June 23, a quiet wedding wae solemnised, the contracting parties being Marjorie Standiage, only daughter of Mr aud Mrs Lawrence Booth, "Fairfield," Waipawa, and David Melville, only son of Mrs G. C. Thorrson, of Dannevirke. The Rev. W. T. Drake officiated and Mrs. Drake presided at the organ. The bride entered the church with her father and wore a model suit o.f light prune-shaded afghalaine with beige fiecks and trimmed with Pcrslan lamb. With thU she wore a damty pink woollen blouse and a halo hat with pearl ornament. She carried a bouquet of pale pink clirysanthemuras, carnations, luculta and maidenhair fern. Miss Madge Maetore, of Ongaonga, attended as bridesmaid and wore a smart suit in lido blue trimmed wtith stitching, and a blue velour hat. Her bouquet was , of carnations, tinted freesias and pink heather. Mr N. Mataiers carried out the duties of best man, After the ceremony the wedding party returned to "Fairfield" to afternoon tea. Mr and Mrs D. M. Thomson left later for the north and their future home will be an Cambridge.
