WAIROA, Tlixs Day. lnterniittent showers, and a very l0w temperature, following on three days of lieavy rain, made playing cenditions very bad on Saturday afternoon. Three matclxes, one senior, one junior and one third grade AArere played on the Lambton sports ground, confcinuing the district eompetition. Despite the state of the ground and a slippery ball, some very smart handling was seen in all the games. Results are as under. — SENIOR Old Boys 29; Hikurangi 6. . JUNIOR Waiau 17 j Old Boys 8. THIRD GRADE Old Boys 6 ; High School 6.
