MR. WILLIAM HUDSON
The death oecurred recently of a well-known and highly-respected resident of Palmerston North in the person of Mr William Hudson, who had been over 40 years in the district and was prominent in auctioneering circles. The late Mr Hudson was a member of the Court Manawatu, A.O.P., and many representatives of that society attended the iuneral to pay tnibute to an honoured member. The service at the graveside was eonducted by Rev. A. Blakemore, of the Cuba Street Methodist Church, after which the simple and dignifled rites of the burial service of the A.O.F. were read. The pall-bearere were Messrs V. Hudson (son), D. Bart and W. Collins (sons-in-law), H. Podmore (nephew) and two members of the A.O.F. Many telegrams j and messages of condolence were re- I ceived, as well as a large number of beautiful floral tributes. The late Mr Hudson is survived by his widow, Mrs E. Hudson, and six children, Messrs W. Hudson (Wanganui), Y. Hudson (Hastings), Mesdames S. Aspland (Australia), D. Barr (Wellington), W. Collins (Palmerston North), and R. Jacobs (Auckland). There are also 17 grandchildren.
