LATE MR CECIL DUFF
Hastings Retailers' Tribute Hastings had lo^t one of its ilnest citizens in the death of Mr Cecil Duff, said the ehairman, Mr 0. Griffiths, at a general meeting of the Hastings Retilers' Association last night. Mr Duff, he added, had been keenly interested in every move for the betterment of the town and distiict, and had given unstintedly of his best. He had. been as keenly interested in people as he had been in movements, and had used every opportunity to show his sympathy and kindliness. To know him had been to love him. "We have lost not only a good citizen but a friend," Mr Griffiths added. "The town is the poorer for his passing. His influence will long remain as an example." Mr Griffiths then moved a vote of 'sympathy to Mrs Duff and the Misses Duff. The vote was carried in silence.
