Omakere Evening

The annual evening of the Omakere Women's Institute was held in the Omakere Hall, and notwithstanding the bitterly cold night, a fair crowd attended and enjoyed themselves. Bridge, "500" and ping pong were played, Messrs J. Fleming and L. Kit tow being the winners of the bridge prizes, Miss Ray Fleming and Mr A. Wallace won the "500" tournament, and Mr George Aitken won the ping pong prize. The mystery , box went to Master Brian Moriarty. After a very enjoyable supper, which was provided by the institute mem bers, dancing commenced, Miss B. Linton and Mr A. Kittow provij.ng the music. ' A very happy and jolly evening concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
