WELLINGTON, Juno 12. Wellington hockey team met Napie1 at Karori Park this afternoon and showed their superiority from the outset. The ground was very heavy and mili tated against good play. The teams were: — Napier: Evetts; D. McErlick, Dowling; Boston, Yercoe, A. McElrick; MeCutcheon, Collinge, Best, Williams, Tucker. Wellington: Moore; Styles, Perrin; Newcombe, Chambers, Harrison; Chapman, Wheatley, Dentice, Neatc, Kelly. Wellington set up a strong attack from the start, and persistent forward movement down the right flank resulted in Wheatley scoring from the edge of the circlc. Wellington- continued to press, and D. Chambers scored three times in succession, from a penalty corner in each case. On one occasion the ball bounced cff the foot of the goalie and entered the net over his head. Practically througkout the spol! Wellington had a territorial advantag' and it was seldom that Napier got be yond their opponents' twenty-five-yar line. The Napier team frequently mif hit, and failed to combine effectivel^ The half -time score was Wellington 4 Napier 0. Ia the second spell, although Napie had the advantago on a few occasions they did not display anything like the forrn that Wellington did.
