ANOTHER SOVIET TRIAL
Army Officers Charged with Treason F0REIGN P0WER AIDED (By Telefrrapb-— Preas Aesn. — Copyriaht,.i LONDON, June 11. The Moscow correspondent of the British United. Press says that Generals Tukhaehevsky, Yakir and Uborevich, also Generals Putea and Kork and: three other high officers .of the Red Army, are being tried fco-day on eharges ; of treason and espionage on behalf of an unnamed foreign Power. All eight ) are reported-to have confessed. The trial opens at 11 a.xn. before the military section of tbe Snpreme Court, presided over by Judge Dlrich. It is believed that the trial will be in camera, in accordance with the speeial law passed in 1934. It is alleged: Firstly, that tkey supplied a foreign State with information concerning the Red Army; secondly, that they carried on wiecking work toweaken the Red Army; thirdly, that they ' were preparing a military attack on the Soviet TJnion, with a view to the restoration of oapitalism. General Kork is commander of the Moscow garrison. The other aecused are Generals Eideman, Feldaan and Primakov. The Judges will be Marshab Bluecher, Buedenny and five others, including General Alksnis, Chief of the" General Staff. General Putea was military attache in London. According to the Telegraph '■ Moscow correspondent, General Gamarniki is also implicated. An official eommunique issued in Moscow confirms the trial as cahled, also a confession of having systematically supplied an unfriendly foreign State with information.
