TIKOKINO MEETING

The Tikokino Women 's Institute held their June meeting in the Memorial Hall, Mrs. Petrowski presiding. Six new members were welcomed, aiso visitors from Wakarara Institute. After business had been dealt with, a demonstration on hair-waving was capably given by Mrs. Warlow, president of Wakarara institute. All members took a very keen interest in the work, and Mrs. Warlow was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. The competitions for the day resulted a* follows: — Bes4 article, something new from something old, Mrs. G. Morrison (child's dressing gown) 1, Mrs. A. B. Rumball (faney floor rug) 2, Mrs. Williamson (boy's trousers) 3. Judge, Mrs. Warlow. Apple short-cake. — Mrs. R. Mackie 1, Mrs. Jackson 2., Mrs. WilMamscm 3. Judge, Mrs. Logusen. Best bloom for the month Mrs. Williams 1, Mrs. Eumball 2, Miss Knapp 3. Judge, Miss Logusen. Members were congratulated on their teplendid display of handicrafts, after which the singing of the National Anthem concluded a pleasant afternoon.
