CLIVE PRESBYTERIAN LADIES' GUILD

The members of the Clive Presbyterian Ladies' Guild were hostesses to. the members of the Napier South Guild and Clive branch of the Mothers' Union at their usual meeting held in the Clive Prosbyterian Churcb. There was a large attendanqe of members and visitors. The meeting was opened with prayer and then the visitors wero cordially welcomed by tlie president, Mrs W. Tucker. Sister Gladys, of St. Andrew's, Hastings, was introduced to all present, she being the spdaker for the afternoon. She was presented with a beautiful bunch of violets by Mrs Fuller. Sister Gladys gave in inspiring and helpful talk, all thoroughly enjoying it, and a very hearty vote'of thanks was passed to her., Mrs Fuller gave an elocutionary item, and a period of cominunity slnging was enjoyed. During the afternoon tea. social chat was the order, and a very happy half-hour was spent. Mr3 Kedgley tlianked the Clive Guild for the opportunity of gathering together, and expressed the hope that the Clive Guild would soon atfcend a similar fu nation with the Napier South Guild. Mrs Ted Cushiiig also spoke ou behalf of tho Motliers' Union, and expressed their plcasure at meeting with tho guihl and returned thanks l'or the pleasant afternoon.
