A bitter, cold afternoon, with intermittent showers, saw only a handful of speetators at Coronation Park, Waipawa, to witness the junior match be tween Waipawa and Waipukurau Old Boys. ^ After a keenly-contested game which, in the last fifteen minutes produce d some exceptionally good football, the local team rau out the winners by 16 points to 3. > Waipawa 's points came from a try by G. Fair which came from - a movoment inaugurated by Davis and converted by Hopldns, unconverted tries by Vatson and Grant, and a try by McCleary which was also converted by Hopkins. For Waipukurau Renner scored, Bryce taking the kick, which although crossing the bar, was disallowed on account of having touched a player of tho opposing side.
