WAIROA, Last Night. _ In the Rugby Sub-Union's competition only two juniov and one third grade games were prayed at the Lambton sports ground on Saturday afternoon. Owing to one of the teams having a griovanee with the sub-unxon, tlxe senior game drapm to be played between Whakaki and Nuhaka did not eventuate. As a result of this the teams in the junior and third,, grade matches lacked entliusiasm, and the play was very poor. There was Only a small -attendance of speetators. The rosults were: — • ^Senior.— Old Boys (25) defeated Hikurangi (nil) at Nuhaka. Referee, Mr. E. M. McDonald. Juniors.— Pirates (6) defeated Old Boys (6). Referee, Mr. M. G. MacKay, Waiau defeated Takutaimoana by 14 to nil. Referee, Mr. G. O. Maekay. Watersiders (14) defeated Marama (3). Referee, Mr. D. A. Hughes. Third Grade. — High School drew with Old Boys 9-all. Referee, Mr, J. W. Knocks.
