THIS WEEK'S SOCCER
Apart from the usual Soccer fixtures this week-end, on Wednesday next, June' 9, the K'ing's Birthday, it has been decided to hold a five-a-side touxnament for all grades. Schoolboys' teams, junior teams and senxor teams will participate. So far as the junior teams and senior teams are concerned, there will he an entry f ee of 2/6 a team, whieh will be used as a prize fund. Scboolboys ' teams will pay- an entry fee of 6d a team. A tropby will be arranged for winners for all grades. All nominations must be handed in to the secretary, accompanied by entry fee, before to-morrow evening, Saturday, June 5. Late entries will not be accepted. A- team from the Napier scEooIs will be visiting France House this SaTurday . af ternoon. Teams are all settlixig down to hard business again .after the advice of the visit of tbe English team, and it is anticipated quite an improvement will be shown by the juniors and soniors as a result of the many lessons learn fc by the players'in watching tlie visitors' method of play. Good, interesting games are promised - in tho competition this week. 11 " ii i ■
