WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

Haumoana Meeting 'The Haumoana Women's Institute held their monthly meeting in the Rifle Club room. The president, Mrs. McCarthy, introduced and welcomed Mr Hendry, who gave an illuminating address on Rotary. Tea was 4 then served and a social interlude was enjoyed by all. An amusing competition was won by Mrs. McCarthy. The competition for the month, the best ginberbread, was keenly contested, the winners being: Mrs. McCarthy 1, Mrs. Manning 2, Mrs. Castles 3. Thanks were extended to Mr. Hendry, and the afternoon closed with the singing of "God Save the King."
