Sandy Dix (McGovern) accoinpanied them over the first four hurdles, giving a dashing display and being right up with Modern Maid, who was in front at the finish. Timed from hurdle to hurdle Modern Maid took 2.24 3-b. High Star (McRae), Keith Lu (A. Gilmer), Huutsman's Choru's (Baker), and La Femme Noir (R. Smith), finishBd in that order over four hurdles in 1.25 3-5. Over the HiR. London (J. Day), Thespis (T. Williams), JBooklaw (Watson), Tea Chat (Tmrvey), and Right Royal (Cotter), were associatedi ig a school over a round of the jBteeplechase course. They got through their task safely, With the exception of Eight Royal, who bauIEed at the stonewall at the bottom of the hill. London led throughout, and gave a first-class display. Thespis also fenced well, except for hitting the last obetacle, fbe Stonewall. Booldaw ran round the second fence of the double the first time, bnt jumped the othcr obstacles all right. Prince of Orange schoolea satisfac torily over four hurdles.
