REGENT THEATRE

GRACE MOORE PREMIERE j SATERDAY. "When You're jn Love", with Grace Moore and Gary Grant, screens at the Regent to-night. Tixis new musica) is the (inest that has ever been made of Miss Moore, and gives her ample opportunity of displaying her undOubted vocal and histrionic ability. The newest Grape Moore picture will please all who have enjoyed her eaflier pictures, and perhaps introduce her to

an even wider publie, for her latest film has other bojc office angles than the vocal accomplishments of the star. As an Australian opera singer who is trying to get into America, but has mislftid her quota number, Grace Moore is sojourning in Mexico in ill-concealed impatience caused by the faot that she has an obligation to appear at a song festival organised by her uncle in New York. Since no other way out of the dxfficulty appear 8, a "marriage convenience" with an American citieen is arranged to get her over the border, on the understanding that her husband will then divoroe her, getting 7000 dollars for being so obliging. The husband, Cary Grant, a handsome and carefree artist, is picked up in the town gapl, which incidentally seems to be a remarkably free-and^easy institution. Naturally the divorce never comes off. The opera star renders sueh masterpieces as Schubert's "Serenade," 'One Fine Day " from "Madame Butterfly," '^Siboney," "Vissi Darte ' ' from "La Tosca," the "Waltz Aria" from "Romeo and Juliet' and "In the Gloaming," All these besxdes two excellent new popular numbers by Jerome Kern, "Our Song" and "Whistliflg Boy." Miss Moore is perfectly supported with a grand stpry by Robert Riskin of 4Mr- Deeds" and '*It Happened One Night" fame, Oary Grant is just right as a hard^drinking American artist, wbile other rolep are dealt with akilfuUy by Aline McMahon, Henry Stephepson, Thomas Mitchell, Catharipe Boucet, Luis Alberni and others.
