"We must keep the park wkatever happens," aaid Mr McRae. "It is a great asset and we intend to hang on to it like grim death." " It was stated by Mr McRae that next seasou there would he four teams from the town ar«a playing iu the Rugby League oompetitiou, and in reply to a question as to wixere the playerg would qome from, he added that after one season' s Rugby the players would realise that league was the faetter game. An putline of a visit paid to Napier by Messrs Q. E. Qarlaw and J, A. Redward, president and secretary of the f^ew Zealand Rugby League Council, was given by the chairman, who was sure that great benefit had resulted from the visit, A better understanding uow existed hetween Hawke's Bay and the New Zealand Council. The executive approved was as follows: Messrs D. B. McRae (chairman), J. Fulford, C. Hellyer, G. Frater, R. Wilson, L. Jeffray, J. Cassin, and one member from the Referees' Agsociation. On the motion of Mr McRae, a sincere vote of thqnks was passed to Mr [J. Holt, secretary, for his services.
