Unique Ceremony at Waipawa

WAIPAWA, Last Night. A meeting of Court Little John, A.O.F., was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Waipawa, last evening, Bro. Duncan, C.R., presiding over a large attendance of members. The social committee was instructed to maka arrangements for the holding of a dance and social evening early next month, in the Oddfellows' Hall, Waipawa. Sisters G. Major, M. Major and G. Fairweather and Bros. F. R. Logan, ,1 Cochrane, J. H. Hopkinson, N. Addis and W. Hopkinson, of Court Ruahine, who wero in attendance, were heartily welcomed by the Chief Ranger. Bro. J. H. Hopkinson replied on behalf of Court Ruahine. At this stage of the meeting Bro. Duncan, C.R., invited Sister G. Major, D.C.A., to occupy the chair during the initiation of the Secretary 's (Bro. Corskie's) two daughters. For this ceremony the res^ of the offices of the Court were temporarfly filled by lady members, Sisters M. Major and G. Fairweather also representing Court Ruahine. At the conclusion of what must have been a unique ceremony in the history of Forestry in Waipawa, Bros. Moss and J." Cochrane briefly addressed the newly-initiated members. • Supper was served at the conclusion of the meeting, and the members wore ontertaincd at cards.
