WALLINGFORD MEETING

Many members and visitors attended . the monthly meeting of the Wallingford "Women 's Institute, which was held at Wallingford last Thursday afternoon. As at was members' day, the routine business was disposed of and then Mxs. W. Fattison and Mrs. J. Canning took charge of the meeting and a most instructive and enjoyable afternoon was spent by those present. A very interesting demonstration on papier maehe work was given by Mrs. Absolom, who showed articles in various stages of process, as well as finished articles. Mrs. Absolom also demonstrated tke framing of pictures with passe-partout and at the conclusion was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Prizes were donated by Mrs. Absolom and Mrs. W. Pattison for the three competitions which had been arranged, the winners being Mrs. Davey, Mrs. W. Pattison and Mrs. T. Hobson. Musical dtems rendered by Mrs. T. Hobson were much enjoyed and afternoon tea dispensed by Mesdames H. E. Wall', S. Ward, J. R. Byrne, Misses Judd, J. Ormond and A. Wilder, brought a happy afternoon to a close.
