Meeting of Takapau Sub-branch
TAKAPAU, Last Night. The annual general meeting of the Takapau sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket rooms. There was a fairly good attendanee, out a number of apologies due to sickness was received. Mrs. Paulsen presided over the committee meeting, and after the business was transacted she proposed a hearty vote of thanks to all the members of the committee who had worked so willingly for a number of years, and also to the honorary seeretary, Miss Gamble. An expression of thanks for all the good work that Mrs. Paulsen had accomplished during the years she flad been president was also carried. Mr. J. Caughley, a member of the advisory board, presided at the annual general meeting. The report and balanee-sheet were duly adopted, a credit balance of £25 3/10 on. the year's working being shown. The election of officers resulted: — • President, Mrs. Paulsen (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mesdames H- Blathwayt, Caughley, Power and Craig; committee, Mesdames de -Stacpoole, Preseott, Tiffen, Waldin, Rolleston, Tilley, Scott, Olsen, Gooeh, Lawler; honorary seeretary and treasurer, Miss A. Gamble; advisory board, Messrs. N. M. Paulsen, J. Maudsley, R. Fraser, J, Caughley, N. Waldin, W. Cuthbertson. Dr. Coutts and Mr. Bjorngaard. Mr. Caughley congratulated the retiring committee on the work of the Plunket Society. Mrs. Stevens. spoke of the very good work of Nurse Campbell. She said she was a good nurse and very interested in her work. A vote of thanks to her was carried unanimously. .
