Miners Postpone Action

The Nottinghamshire colliery owners' delegates met the Secretary for Mines to-day and decliued to meet the Mineworkers' Federation in conferenco witjiout prior accepta-nce by the latter oJ the principle of fusion of two rival millex,s, unious in Nottinghamshire. The mineworkers' Federation on Friday sUspended the tendeiing of notices for one week, thus postponing the threatened strike till June 29, in order . to allow the Mines Department to try to bring about an unconditional meeting of the three parties.
