Waipawa to Play Maraenui for Coronation Cup

WAIPAWA, Last Night. Althouuli three tGmporary greens are still in use, a large nuinber of players was present on the Waipawa links durang the week-end making the most of unfavourable conditions. The fairways are improving rapidly and the six greens,' whieh were brought into play on Saturday for the first -timo this season, made for considerable improvement in the scores returned, It is anticipated that by next Saturday all the "greens will be ready for use, and the season ^s programme will begin shortly afterwards. Next week-end a team of twelve players will journey to Maraenui to play for the Coronation Cup. The team selected to represent Maraenui is a partienlarly strong combination. Six ladies have also beeu invited to play at Maraenui in a friondly matcli.
