(Received 29, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 28. The usual annual Royal Academy "sensation" has arisen. It concems this year's picture, "The Lord of Greation," by Oswald Moeer, who states that though the picture has been accepted and hung he received. a letter, aayiag: "As the picture certainly alludes to an affair whieh is a matter of especially painful regret to the public," the president of the council had deeided to remove it from the exhibition. Mr Moser says: "They obviously think it refers in some way to the Duke of Windsor, but it is nothing of the sort, it is siraply a symbolical study of a young man painted two yOars ago. The crown upon his head is purely symbolical of taan's supposed superiority over birds and boasts." A representative of ihe council, who is concerned with the rejection, says : "We were told, and it is eommon gosaip, that the picture was an allegorical study of King Edward. We felt that though the portraiture was not very strong, it would cause some disturbance and corae to the ears of the Royal Family. It is our poliey never to exhibit a picture that can be construed as a reflection on any member of the Royal Familv." The Daily Mail says thut the picture showed a young man, with a crown on his head, being tugged along by an alluring young woman.
