BLENHEIM, Last Night. By the decision of the annual meeting of the New Zealand Air Pilots' Guild held here it becomes the flrst Dominion guild to affiUate with the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators of the British Empire. Twenty-five professional pilots were represented at the meeting in person or by proxy, the master, Squadron-Leader G. L. Stedman, presiding. The half-yearly council meeting followed when Flying-Officer S. L. GilkiEon, of the Western Federated Aero Club, was appointed to fill the vacaney as an assoeiated member in place of Plying-Offieer C. M. Duthie, who has qualified for full membership of the guild. Flying-Officer J. M. Buekeridge resigned on aeeount of his appointment as assistant to the Controller of Civil Aviation. It was deeided to recommend to the Air Board that in the cases of inquiries into air accidents and other matters relating to civil aviation a nomi^ee of the guild be appointed as one of the members of the Board of Inquiry in aecordanee with the English praetiee. With a view to avoiding speculative reports on certain air accidents necessitating an offieial inquiry it was deeided the Press be asked not to publish any suggested cause until au offieial explanation had been inillj Moard of Inquirv.
