Youth Dies From Wounds

AUCKLAND, Last Night. As the result of a gunshot wonnd in tho right arm, received on Friday, Alired Frederick Bird, aged 18, an empioyee of the Karetu Timbef Company, died in the Kawakawa Hospital. The accident occurred when deceased seized the weapon by the muzzle, and, as he was pulling it toward him, one barrel exploded. The charge entered the right forearm, travelling up the arm into the armpit. Deceased was 1 immediately conveyed to the Kawakawa Hospital, where he died at 1 p.m. to-day. An inquest will be held.
