UiAJNjc/j .Last JNiglit. The monthly meeitng of the Otane ■Sehool Committee was hold on Monday j night, Mr A. E. Black presiding over a full attendanee of menibers. The heddmaster reported that ihe average attendanee for last four weoks was 150.6, or 04 por cent. of the roll number, ".'he tenn holidays, aecording to the latest eircular received, will begin on May l*i, schools rcsuming on May 24. Another week uiay be g ven in July, when an important meeting of educationalists from overseas will be lield in New Zealand. A eircular was received from fhe Education Board about devotionul oxereises in schools. In addition to half-hour on ono day a week already allowed, fivre minutes each morning mny be used for the saine purpose, if teachers desire. A vote of t'hanks was passed to Miss fngleton for making an Anzac wreath for the school. " The proeuring of a football for school use was left in the liands of Mr. Vovee. The see re lary is to get estimates for liasketbalJ polos for the use of junior plavers. Arrangements for Coronati.on Duv were diseussed arid suggestions will be made to the celebrations committee.
