TARADALE SERVICE
"The Cause of Righteousness" A record attendance was present at the Anzac memorial servdce held at Taradale yesterday. Well over 70 returned soldiers took part in the parade from the Fallen Soldiers 1 Memorial to the Town Hall where the setvice took place. Included in the parade were the Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and the school children. The hall was packed to the doors and the service was deeply impressive. Mr J. WilMamson, chairman of the Taradale Town Board, presided. A Scripture reading was given by the Rev. J. Cumming and prayer was led by Cauon Alfred Hodge. Appropriate hymns were sung led by the Napier Technical Band which also led the proce&sion. The Anzac Song was impressively sung by the school children. A sfcirring address on the spirit of Anzac was given by the Rev. H. J. Odell, who stated that the service was to perpetuate. the memories of those whose sacrifices in deeds of heroism were made in the cause of righteousness. It was for those who f oilowed to see to it that those sacrifices were not in vain. The proceasion afterwards marched to the memorial where wreaths were laid by the Taradale and Distriet Returned Soldiers1 Association, the Taradale Town Board, the schools, Taradale and Greenmeadows "Women 's Institutes.
