MAGNOLIA LACE GOWN WORN AT NAPIER WEDDING
YOUNG— WALKER A very pretty wedding took plaee at St. Paul's Ckurch, Napier, on Tuesd;ay evening, April 20, when the Eev. D. N. MacDiarmid united in holy matrimony Margaret Drummond, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Walker, Burns road, Napier, and George Buchanan, only son of Mr G. B. Young, George 's Drive,. Napier, and the late Mrs Young, Glasgow, Scotland. The chureh wa« beaufcifulJy decorated with pink and white dahlias. > The bride, who was given away by her father, wore' a lovely wedding gown of jnagriolia lace, a giffc from an aunt in London. Her veil was of magnolia tulle and she carried a shower bouquet of . carnations, roses and -maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Nola Wilson (chief) and Miss Gwen Payne were frocked alike in silver 6atin, their gowns bein'g fashioned on slim-fitting • lines falling into flared trains. Eaiih ■ maid wore shoes to torie and carried a bouquet of dahlias and carnations. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Les,' Marchant and Mr Joe Walker was groomsman. Messrs Fred Watters and W. Cowley, Auckland, were ushers. The reception was held in Blythes tea-rooms, the guests being received.by Mr and Mrs Walker. Mrs Walker wore a model ensemble in black and greensatin crepe and' carried a bouquet in autumn tinte. When the bride and bridegroom left for their .honeymoon, the brid^v travelled in a navy -'blue .cqstume *wit1b.c hat to tone and a silver fox fur, the' gift of the bridegroom.
