GOOD SALE FOR FAT SHEEP
rPrime Wethers Make to 29/6 A LARGE ENTRY The increased yarding of fat sheep at Stortford Lodge yesterday met with a good sale, mking last week's rates. Extra prime heavy wethers, well woolled, brought 29/6, and Down cross sorts made to 28/9. A large entry of prime, heavy, well-woolled ewes, on account of Mr. T. -H. Lowry, (off his Omarunui property, realised to 24/-. A large percentage of the lambs offered were lightweights, averaging about 261bs. Realisation were as under:-— On account of Netherton Station, 41 well-woolled, prime, heavy, wethers mde to 29/6, On account of the same vendors, nine mixed-sex Down cross two-tooths, in prime condition, being quality mutton, sold at 26/6. An entry of Down cross ewes, in prime order, made 24/6. On account of Mr. T. H. Lowry, Omarunui, a run-in of 110 prime, heavy, well-woolled ewes realised to 24/-. An entry of extra prime Down cross wethers, which should kill out at 561bs., realised 28/9. In from Maraetotara, a small entry of heavy priino ewes made 24/9. In. from the same district, an entry of small-grown, light, blaek-faced lambs realised 21/11., A line of medium-quality wethers, uneven in size, made 27/11. hard to trade, The few lines of Down cross twQ-tooths sold at 28/1, A small entry of prime-quality four and six-tooth ewes brought 25/-. On account of Mr, W. H. Meeeh, Springfield, a line of prime ewes, wellwoolled, brought 23/10. '
