Slow Market for Good Quality STORTFORD VALUES Bespite the good quality penned. store cattle met with slow market at Stortford Lodge yesterday, and were hard to trade. The few h?:es of station-bred cattle were well grown and in good order, but shortage of feed preeluded certain farmers from being in the market, Good 30-months steers, in very forward order, were passed in at £8 2/6. Similar aged heifers in ealf brought £7. Steers a year younger made to £7 5/-. Full-grown bullocks were not on offer. The following vlues were offered for seleeted entries: — On account of Mr. T. Ramsden, Fernhill, 39 clean-bved, dehorned, 30-months Hereford steers, well-grown, and in forward condition, having been well done, making a good prospectiva chilling line, were passed at £8 2/6. On aecount of the same vendpr, an entry of 5Q quite well-grown, eleanbred, 30-months Aberdeen Angus Steers, in forward condition, SQqnd, good-doing young cattle, were also passed at £8 2/6. On aecount of King Bros., Te Pohue, nine medium-grown young AbeTdeen Angus bullocks, in gpod store condition, made £8 11/-. On account of Mr. H. Campbell, jnr., 22 nieely-grown, 30-months Aberdeen Angus Hereford erogs heifers, in splendid order, and in calf to a well-bred Aberdeen Angus hull, sold at £7. These' young heifers would make the founda^ tion of a herd of good breeding cows. On account of Mr. Frank iuidreth, Mangawhare, 15 well-bred, 18-months Aberdeen Angus lieifers, in sound eom dition, and thoroughly healthy, having been well done on the high country. brought £5 10/-.
