Mr and Mrs Gapper, who have been residents of the Waione district for many years, have moved to Dannevirke to reside because of Mr Gapper 's illliealth. His position on the Akitio County has been filled by Mr O. Polglase, who moved into the residence last week. Mrs and Miiss Bcck, Rangiora (Nortli Canterbury), sister and niece of Mr R. Burnett, Makotuku, are spending a holiday with him. Mr J. Howard, Napier, formerly of Berkshire, England, visited Makotuku last week to see Mr J. Palmer, an old scliool friend. Mrs F. Carney and lier- small daughter have returned to Ormondville from a holiday spent in Wellington with Mrs Carney 's mother.
